    Causative Verbs:

    जब कोई व्यक्ति या वस्तु किसी व्यक्ति या वस्तु से अपनी प्रेरणा द्वारा कार्य स्वयं भाग लेकर अथवा न करके करवाता है तो ऐसी क्रिया को हम प्रेरणार्थक क्रिया (Causative Verb) कहते हैं | 

    जैसे -

    समान्य क्रिया (General Verbs) प्रेरणार्थक क्रिया (Causative Verbs)

    लड़ना 

    मरना 

    कहना

    नाचना

    बोलना 

    लिखना 

    लड़वाना 

    मरवाना 

    कहलवाना 

    नचवाना 

    बोलवाना 

    लिखवाना 

    अंग्रेजी में प्रेरणार्थक क्रियाएँ (Causative Verbs) निम्न क्रियाओं के सहायता से बनते हैं |

    (I) Make

    (II) Have/get

    (III) Cause 

    (IV) Help 

    (V) Let

    Some other causative verbs;

    allow, enable, keep, hold, force, required, persuade

    (I) Use of Make :

    (Force someone to do work/something.) 

    जब किसी से कोई कार्य बलपूर्वक करवाया जाता है तो वहाँ make का प्रयोग होता है | 

    structure of sentence: 

    Subject + make + object + bare infinitive. (verb without to) 

    Example:

    My mother made me wear a new dress. 

    मेरी माँ ने मुझे एक नयी पोशाक पहनाया | 

    He makes me laugh.

    वह मुझे हँसाता है | 

    She made him dance.

    उसने उसे नचाया |  

    Passive Voice: 

    Sub + is/am/are/was/were/will be/shall be + made + to verb (Infinitive)

    He is made to play. उसे खेलाया जाता है | 

    She was made to weep. उसे रुलाया जाता था | 

    I shall be made to call. मुझे बुलाया जायेगा | 

    (II) Have/ Get 

    Have : 

    To give the responsibility to someone to take an action.

    जब किसी व्यक्ति को कोई कार्य की जिम्मेवारी देकर उससे कोई कार्य करवाया जाता है तो वहाँ to have varb का प्रयोग किया जाता है | इसमें प्रेरणा देने वाला स्वयं भाग नहीं लेता है | 

    Structure of sentence: 

    Sub + has/have + object + past participle (V3) - Present Tense

    Sub + had + object + past participle (V3) - Past Tense

    Sub + will/shall + have + object + past participle (V3) - Future Tense

    Example: 

    I have my shirt ironed. 

    मैं अपनी कमीज इस्तरी करवाता हूँ | 

    You had your house built. 

    आपने अपना मकान बनवाया | 

    She had her blood tested. 

    उसने अपनी खून की जाँच करवायी | 

    GET: 

    To convince someone to do something. 

    इसमें करता दुसरे को काम करने के लिए प्रेरणा देता है, परन्तु स्वयं भाग नहीं लेता है | 

    Structure of sentence: 

    Sub + get/gets + object + past participle (V3) - Present Tense

    Sub + got + object + past participle (V3) - Past Tense

    Sub + will/shall + get + object + past participle (V3) - Future Tense

    Example:

    My mother gets a letter written by me. 

    मेरी माँ मुझसे पत्र लिखवाती है | 

    I got my house painted. 

    मैंने अपना घर रंगवाया | 

    He got his broken chair repaired. 

    उसने अपनी टूटी हुई कुर्सी मरमत करवाई | 

    Cause: 

    When someone is the cause of any taken action. 

    जब किसी कार्य या घटना का sub कारण हो to cause का प्रयोग करते हैं | 

    Structure of sentence:

    Sub + cause/allow/force/get + object + infinitive. (to infinitive) 

    Example: 

    He causes me to defeat. 

    वह मुझे हारवाता है | 

    She caused to fight among us. 

    उसने हमें आपस में लड़वाया | 

    Help:

    When someone assists someone to do something to involve himself in the action. 

    जब कोई किसी काम ने स्वयं शामिल होकर किसी से कुछ करवाने में उसकी सहायता करता है तो वहाँ help को प्रेरणार्थक क्रिया के रूप में प्रयोग करते हैं | 

    Structure of sentence:

    Sub + help + object + infinitive. (bare infinitive = verb without to) 

    जैसे - 

    उसने मेरी हाथ धुलवाई |

    He helped me wash my hand. 

    तुमने उसे कपडे पहनाये |

    You helped him wear dress.

    मैंने माँ को सीढियों पर चढ़ाया |

    I helped my mother climb on stairs. 

    मेरे शिक्षक ने सवाल हल करवाए |

    My teacher helped me solve my sums.
